Paul Harvey

If you frequent the Chelsea Flower Show you may already be familiar with the work of Paul Harvey. His sculpture has been sold all over the world as well as to members of the Royal family.

Paul draws inspiration for his beautiful creations from the Hampshire countryside, where his studio is located. His longstanding interest in birdlife has led him to create a nature reserve where he is able to spend time observing the birds he sculpts in their natural habitat.

Paul began sculpting at an early age, having been first introduced to woodcarving by his primary school teacher. His natural desire to create simplified form is illustrated by the mahogany woodcarving that is pictured below which he created at the age of eleven.

Paul’s contemporary style was born from these very early beginnings and has latterly been influenced by his interest in Art Deco. His need to simplify form has drawn him towards working in marble and bronze as these materials allow him the opportunity for more freedom in terms of design.
