Kurt Jackson

Fine Art @ Lympstone Manor have the pleasure and privilege to present a new body of work depicting the ‘Exe Estuary’ by the eminent ‘plein artist’ Kurt Jackson.

This mesmerising exhibition created by Jackson in recent months reflects his long standing commitment to the environment and the natural world. The work embodies his fascination for plants and animals within an overall ecology and carry small commentaries on the scene, providing an insight into his personal view point or experience.

About Kurt Jackson

Kurt Jackson MA (Oxon) DLitt (Hon) RWA was born in 1961 in Blandford, Dorset. He graduated from St. Peter’s College, Oxford with a degree in Zoology in 1983. While there, he spent most of his time painting and attending courses at Ruskin College of Art, Oxford. Kurt and his wife Caroline have chosen to reside with their family in Cornwall since moving there in 1984.

Although Jackson is based in Cornwall his practice has taken him throughout the country and Europe. Over the past 30 years he has had numerous art publications released to accompany his exhibitions. He regularly contributes to radio and television and presents environmentally informed art documentaries for the BBC.
