There she achieved a first class honours degree in sculpture and printmaking and was awarded the Henry Moore Foundation Scholarship. Working in a variety of scales commissions have included a public art commission for Kandahar Real estate for Droitwich Spa, sculptures for Volkswagen, The Nordic Swimming Federation and creating the iconic ‘Spirit of Flight’ for the OAG ‘Airline of the Year Awards’. Currently she is working on a commission for the Royal Canadian Airforce Memorial at the National Memorial Arboretum and two sculptures for Carillion PLC to be sited in Worcester.

Sara’s work has been influenced by many artist including Picasso whom she admires for his light inventive energy and Rodin, who described sculpture as drawing in space.  Her sculptural figures start with rigorous investigations through drawing. Each piece having a light hearted narrative which tells a story.

‘My sculptures take a light hearted view of the world, they explore our enjoyment of life and how in our image conscious world we wear sunglasses, go barefooted, teeter on impossible heels, and carry expensive handbags for others to take note of.’
